Who you are:
As a full-time McKinley Installer – Home Elevators Install Apprentice, you will handle everything from home
elevators, vertical and inclined wheelchair lifts, commercial dumbwaiters, car lifts and car turntables. If you are
skilled or feel that you could be an expert in any of these trades, then you may be the right fit for our team.

Responsibilities:
Assist lead installer or technician in the installation, trouble shooting and repair of various types of
accessibility equipment
Communicate and work closely with Lead technician, Lead Installer and Dispatcher
Maintain tools necessary for this trade
Ability to follow direction as well as work independently
Communicate and interact with customers while providing them with excellent customer service
Continually work with Safety First in mind to protect yourself, customers, and the company
Travel in your personal vehicle to customer locations to install equipment and receive mileage
reimbursement
Manage and control van inventory, including stocking and organizing
Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your role including appearance and hygiene
Contribute to team effort by performing additional duties as requested
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday with occasional after hours and/or weekend work
What You Must Have:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: TWO years of industry experience
Requirements: All job offers are contingent upon a NEGATIVE DRUG SCREEN TEST and a Current
CA Driver’s License with a CLEAN DRIVING RECORD!
Qualifications/Abilities
o Electrical and Schematics
o Welding
o Hydraulics
o Mechanical aptitude
o Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
o Knowledgeable in basic hand tool and power tool functions
o Motorcycle repair/educational background trade school training highly desired
o Working knowledge of iPad, iPhones, and basic computer use
o Ability to operate Forklifts and Scissor Lifts. Training, certification, and re-certification will be
provided
o Solid writing and grammar skills

o Strong reasoning ability; able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed,
written or oral instructions; able to deal logically with problems and people
o Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as work instructions, and
procedure manuals.

o Must have schedule flexibility, as services may be performed during evenings, weekends or
holidays

o Physically fit for lifting and moving equipment (up to 50 lbs)

o Ability to push, pull, and perform overhead work
o Ability to work on ladders
o Prolonged standing
o Ability to work with various hand and power tools
o Use of fingers/fine manipulation
