About Us

The Eden Area AJCC, operated by Rubicon Programs on behalf of the Alameda County Workforce Development Board (ACWDB), is one of the largest America’s Job Center of California in Northern California. The mission is to serve as the focal point for local and regional workforce development activities and to integrate workforce preparation services to address the job, education, training, and employment needs in the Eden Area (Castro Valley, Hayward, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, and Unincorporated Areas in the Eden service area).  It is a seamless system based upon a comprehensive array of services which meet our customer needs, including job seekers and employers.

Partners located at the Eden Area Comprehensive One Stop Center include the CA Department of Rehabilitation, SER Jobs for Progress, and the Alameda County Social Services Agency’s TANF (CalWorks/GA) program. Other community partners maintain onsite presence and utilize the space to offer their services to jobseekers. For example, the Alameda County Library provides a six-week computer literacy program, while Employment Development Department (EDD) maintains onsite resources regarding Unemployment Insurance and Disability Benefits. Hayward Center for Education and Careers and Job Corps offer youth services. Castro Valley Adult and Career Education provide access to adult literacy, GED prep, and adult education. Additionally, Five Keys Charter School provides Educational Services for individuals on Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and those remanded to the supervision of the Alameda County Adult Probation Department.
